Cubistic Observation
For this observational study, I wanted to explore the aspect of cubism that allows for a variety of perspectives and vantage points combined in the same scene. Working in pastel pencils, I repositioned myself while drawing, leading to the backgrounds and lighting shifts for each new view of the objects. I thought it would be fun to juxtapose my serious skull replica against my silly skeleton figurine as part of the still life subjects.
